A Teacher and Technician Favorite!

In Stock! With its unmatched combination of durable construction and exceptional playability, the Schimmel F116 outperforms every other piano in its class. From the start it was designed to be an institutional caliber instrument and exceeded even their more demanding requirements. Ideal for a beginning student who is serious about learning to play, a F116 will grab you by the hand and lead you into the world of making glorious music. Like all Fridolin pianos, the smallest model is based on a well-established original Schimmel design. Their long experience, as the inventor of the so-called “small upright piano”, is particularly beneficial to this model. Despite its comfortable height it has an enormous sound and can easily be compared with larger pianos. Complete with an adjustable artist bench and a soft close fallboard. A gift box from Schimmel includes coasters to protect your floors, a temperature and humidity gauge, a microfiber cleaning mitt and embroidered felt key cover. A ten-year factory warranty rounds out the package. Before buying a used piano or digital keyboard you should really try playing one of these.

Background

Contrary to popular belief, the Schimmel Fridolin F116 Upright Piano isn't really an entry-level piano. This new piano is meant for professionals looking for something in the mid-market. Of the Fridolin range, the F116 is the smallest – yet it possesses soul and sound beyond what you'd expect of its modest size.

The components used, from the non-laminated soundboard to the German strings, are all German-made.

Specifications

Using the same principles of piano-making as you'll find in any German piano, the action is fluid and offers good control – it'll satisfy even the most advanced pianists.

Similar to the Classic series, the Schimmel Fridolin F116 has a brighter tonal profile than the Konzert series. That's in part down to the German Roslau strings, the white spruce soundboard, and the cold-pressed German hammers. In fact, the soundboard is produced from AAA European White Spruce.

Most impressive is the overall cabinet design. Drawing upon Schimmel's legacy of winning the Red Dot Award and Good Design award, the F116 is in the same ilk. The resplendent black polish finish and brass or chrome detailing make a wonderful accompaniment to any home.

Expect the same sonorous notes as you'd hear in any other Schimmel small upright piano.

History

For over 130 years, Schimmel has been the gold standard of excellence in piano building. The Schimmel Fridolin F116 piano proves that their designs can achieve the same level of excellence no matter where the construction occurs. Indeed, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were playing an all-German piano.

For teachers and technicians searching for a piano that continues the legacy of Schimmel's earliest days, you won't be disappointed.
