In Stock! In 1887 a watchmaker by the name of Torakusu Yamaha founded Japan’s first organ company. By 1899 he traveled to the USA to learn how to build pianos from the masters and started making grand and upright pianos under the name Nippon Gakki meaning “Japanese Musical Instrument”. Those humble beginnings have developed into a multinational manufacturing operation with sales into the billions annually, a work force of nearly 20,000 and product lines ranging from electronics to musical instruments. Yamaha is revered as one of the largest piano makers in the world, trendsetting in manufacturing and musical technology.
This Yamaha M500 is a great example of why Yamaha entry level pianos are among the best you can buy. Built in 1996 and featuring a more elaborate cabinet with beautiful inlay work and a carved music desk, a brass kickplate and brass ferrules on the front legs and an upgraded action inside (see photos), this Yamaha M500 console is 44 inches tall and with a high quality hand-rubbed cherry satin finish. Carefully crafted by Yamaha and built in the good ole USA at their plant in Thomaston, GA. (unlike the current models that are built in Indonesia, a BIG difference, trust us) and using proven materials, components and precision manufacturing to the premium standards that have defined Yamaha pianos for more than a century. Just finished getting a complete regulation, voicing and tuning job performed by one of the area’s top Yamaha piano technicians and cleaned by hand inside and out, this piano will make some young aspiring player and their teacher very happy.
Includes a perfect condition matching factory duet bench. Hard to find in this kind of condition and priced to sell so do not hesitate because these never last long!
