We just love these historic logo Steinways. Where to start with this one? Originally built in 1917 during the golden age of Steinway and just back from a complete top-down restoration at IPR. Nothing but Steinway parts were used, the chrome hardware was all re-plated and polished and the cabinet has been finished in ebony satin. A new premium Bolduc spruce soundboard completes the package. Look at the photos, it really turned out brilliantly but what do you expect from 16 months of effort? A full restoration and concert level tuning have been performed. It could use some break in time, and it is just now coming into its own, but it will be a joy for someone to own for generations to come.

At 5’ 7” it is the perfect size for most homes and is the most chosen of all the Steinway models. New these are $81,300 so at this price it represents a true bargain, but you really must come and play it to see what all the fuss is about. One minute you are riding down a massive stream of thunderous chords and the next suddenly silvery single notes are streaming out from under your fingers. Coupling a majestic soundstage with a sumptuous level of finesse and bloom, it offers a musical experience that lingers in the ear long after the notes themselves have faded away.
