Like all great pianos, it relies on its beating heart: a quartersawn solid Spruce soundboard. Best of all, the tone only improves with age, producing clarity and color through every note. 

Strong, sturdy Beech rims are designed to maintain strength, expertly reflecting the sound and tonal sustain. Alongside the Sand Cast Iron plate, this piano is robust enough to handle years of playing without diminishing its sound.

Of course, the Mason & Hamlin A160 is at the smaller end of grand pianos. That makes it the perfect accompaniment to a living room, music school, or conservatoire. 

The most notable feature is the state-of-the-art Wessell, Nickel, & Gross Composite Actions. Unlike comparable pianos, this action contains no wood.
