All the inner casework is amazingly detailed, and the ebony polish has been buffed to within an inch of its life. It will take you on a soaring musical journey if you are just strong enough to hang on and go along for the ride. Complete with the manufacturer's ten-year warranty and our exclusive trade up policy.
Dedicated to delivering a more affordable piano without sacrificing quality, Schimmel expanded into Poland in the early 2000s. Despite initial apprehension, this new line has stunned pianists of all abilities in both its price and quality. Branding their new line Wilhelm Schimmel, after the eponymous founder, the new pianos combine efficient and high-quality Polish craftsmanship with Schimmel's legendary design.
The Wilhelm Schimmel W206 Grand Piano is among the largest grands in the Wilhelm Schimmel Series. Fully handmade, the W206 provides a distinctly European playing experience, competing comfortably against popular favorites like the Yamaha C6X or Kawai GX-6.
For those seeking an authentic European, performance-grade piano on a budget, the Wilhelm Schimmel W206 is your answer.
The action is designed by Schimmel's R&D engineers in Braunschweig, Germany: the home of the legendary piano makers. It performs closely to the Classic series, displaying very fluid action that attests to the quality of workmanship.
Expect a clear sound, impressive at this pricepoint, though without the clarity found in Schimmel’s Konzert series. You can expect a thunderous bass and clarity throughout the mid and treble.
That sound quality is down to the hammer supplied by Wurzen – dual felted with a Beech core – and the Bavarian White Spruce soundboard that gives the Wilhelm Schimmel W206 a distinct tone from Japanese pianos reliant on Sitka Spruce.
Finally, the W206 features a thick, hardwood rim; this helps maintain instrument solidity and aids in projection. Once the piano is completed in Poland, it's inspected in Germany to ensure it conforms to the company's highest standards – and to give it its finishing touches.
HistorySchimmel has been producing pianos since 1882 – after the two brothers, Wilhelm and Fridolin Schimmel, founded the company together. Now in its 4th generation, the company maintains the same impeccable results –evident with the Wilhelm Schimmel W206 Grand Piano.View the brochure for complete details.
